ePortfolio2008, Maastrich 22-25 de Outubro


ePortfolio 2008 is the 6th edition of the key international event for the growing community of professionals interested in, and working with, ePortfolios. It brings together policy-makers, researchers, teachers, trainers, human resource managers and technologists. As a thematic event devoted to one domain, it allows an in-depth and broad exploration of the issues - and results in real outcomes. Past events have resulted in the creation of national and international networks, contribution to ePortfolio policy, the launch of the ePortfolio for All campaign, progress in ePortfolio interoperability through the Plugfest, transnational projects and numerous publications.

Samuel Beckett (1906-1989)

Nascido na Irlanda perto de Dublin. Cresceu numa família Protestante de classe média. Aos 14 anos frequentou a mesma escola que Oscar Wilde frequentara. Escritor que dedicou ao drama um lugar de destaque. Uma das frases que disse talvez explique o carácter da sua obra triste e cheia de solidão é: "I had little talent for happiness."

Beckett foi consistente na sua solidão. Dizem os que o conheciam que era difícil ter uma conversa longa com ele . Dizem também que as mulheres gostavam dele. O jovem poeta, no entanto, não deixava que ninguém penetrasse na sua solidão.


Beckett by Sara Rocha

A primeira peça de Samuel Beckett, Eleutheria, espelha a sua própria procura pela liberdade, mas o seu primeiro triunfo foi com a peça Waiting for Godot em 1953. Peça em que "nada acontece" tornou-se um sucesso, andando ainda hoje por teatros de todo o mundo.

Beckett foi o primeiro dos "absurdistas" a ganhar fama internacional. Os seus trabalhos foram traduzidos em mais de vinte línguas. Em 1969 foi premiado com o Nobel da Literatura. Deixou uma obra vasta e escreveu até à sua morte em 1989, mas a tarefa tornou-se mais e mais difícil, e no final, disse que cada palavra lhe parecia: "an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness."
